Common ones we get.
- What counts as a generation?
- One credit is consumed when Pronto produces a verified piece from your prompt, or when you ask for a substantial AI rewrite. Playback, manual edits, transposition, re-rendering the same piece, and exports are always free.
- Can I bring Pronto output into MuseScore, Dorico, Finale, or Sibelius?
- Yes — every paid plan includes MusicXML export, the standard interchange format. PDF and MIDI are also included on paid plans.
- What does the audit panel actually check?
- Pitch range per instrument, time signature consistency, beam grouping, key adherence, accidental usage, form (e.g. AABA), cadence, and total measure count. Each check returns pass / warn / fail with the offending measure highlighted.
- Do unused generations roll over?
- Subscription generations reset each month. Top-up credit packs never expire and stack on top of your plan.
- Is there a teacher discount or annual plan?
- Yes — annual plans offer roughly two months free, and we offer founding-teacher discounts during early access. Email us for details.
- Why is guitar notated in plain treble clef right now?
- Pronto currently renders pitches as concert (sounding) pitch. Standard guitar treble-8 notation and full instrument transposition arrive before general availability — see the audit note when guitar is selected.
